Apron-Front Dress

$70

This charming dress is made of a printed cotton with a burgundy floral vine design on a rose pink ground. It is based on surviving dresses from the period, and features the favored high waist and extra-long sleeve details that were so popular during the Regency period. This dress features the popular "apron" or "bib" front closure, and closes by way of snaps and hooks and eyes, with the buttons being for decorative purposes. The included burgundy velvet waistband closes with hook and loop tape ("velcro"), and may be completely removed from the dress for a different look.

This limited-edition dress is hand made in the USA using 100% cotton fabrics, machine sewn but lovingly finished with careful hand stitching anywhere that the stitches can be seen (such as at the hem). The bodice and waistband are lined to protect your doll from potential dye transfer (and additionally, all fabrics are pre-washed to remove any excess dye). The buttons are custom-made for Historically Dressed, and are hand-painted to match the dress.

Please note that the doll and accessories shown are not included in this purchase, but that the boots and necklace may be purchased separately from my shop.
