This lovely dress is made of a printed cotton with a grey sprig design on a charcoal ground. It is based on surviving dresses from the period, and features the favored high waist and extra-long sleeve details that were so popular during the Regency period. The lower part of the sleeve may be removed, leaving just the short sleeve, so it is like two dresses in one! Also included is a grey velvet waistband which can also be removed. The dress has decorative buttons but actually closes at the back with hooks and eyes, while the sleeves and waistband are secured with hook and loop tape ("velcro").
This limited-edition dress is hand made in the USA using 100% cotton fabrics, machine sewn but lovingly finished with careful hand stitching anywhere that the stitches can be seen (such as at the hem). The bodice and waistband are lined to protect your doll from potential dye transfer (and additionally, all fabrics are pre-washed to remove any excess dye). The buttons are custom-made for Historically Dressed, and are hand-painted to match the dress.
Please note that the doll and accessories shown are not included in this purchase, but that the boots and necklace may be purchased separately from my shop.
